Day 01 - Ahmedabad - Dwarka (465km/9Hrs)
Pick up from the Ahmedabad Railway Station/ Airport and Drive to Dwarka.
Check into the Hotel. Refresh. Go for the sightseeing. Overnight stay at
Hotel.
Nageshwar Mahadev Jyotirling :
Situated towards Okha, this temple enshrines one of the 12 Jyotilingas
in India. The legend relates that centuries ago the jungle (Vana) that
covered this area was inhabited by a demon couple named Daruka and so it
was called Darukavana.
Gopi Lake :
Now popularly know as Gopnath Mahadev, this 6th century shrine in Nani
Gop Village is one of the earliest built temples in Gujarat. Opinion is
divided on whether it was originally dedicated to the Sun or to Shiva.
It has a two-layered pyramid shaped roof. The high platform and the open
space around the sanctum gives the temple an appearance of enhanced
height.
Day 02 - Dwarka
Early morning go for Beyt Dwarka, evening come back the Hotel after
little rest go for Aarti. Overnight stay at Hotel.
Bet Dwarka (By Ferry At Own Expence) :
Bet Dwarka is considered the original abode of Krishna. The island was a
full-fledged port before Okha developed nearby. The main temple was
built about 500 years ago by Shri Vallabhacharya, a prominent guru of
the Pushtimargh Sampradaya, and has an idol believed to have been made
by Rukmini.
Rukmani Temple :
Rukmani Temple, Dwarka, India dates back to the 12th century. There is a
story behind this temple.
Day 03 - Dwarka - Porbandar - Somnath (250km/5Hrs)
Porbandar Sudamapuri Temple :
Although the temple structure is not extraordinary, it is associated
with a popular tale of Krishna and his dear friend Sudama. The shrine
marks where Sudama's hut once stood and is the only temple dedicated to
him in India.
Kirti Mandir :
The main attraction for most visitors to this city is the three story
house where Gandhiji was born in 1869. The spot where his mother gave
birth is marked with a Swastika. A narrow stairway leads up to his
study. Adjacent to the 165-year old residence is the 24 m high Kirti
Mandir with 79 lamps on its peak-one for each year of Gandhiji's
life.
Bharat Mandir and Nehru Planetarium :
The Bharat Mandir is a permanent exhibition that highlights the natural
features and prominent spiritual and historical figures of India.
Upstairs is the Nehru Planetarium, also known as Tara Mandir. Nearby are
mud flats popular with migratory birds.
Somnath Temple Old & New :
Somnath Temple, a highly revered temple, is one of the main 12 Shiva
temples in India enshrining the Jyotirlinga. The temple is constructed
in the Chalukya style with a height of about 155 ft.
Triveni Sangam :
Triveni Ghat in Somnath is the confluence of three holy rivers namely
Kapil, Hiran and the mystical River Saraswati. It is believed that the
rivers flow to the sea from here.
Geeta Mandir :
Gita Mandir, placed at the confluence of three holy rivers known as
Triveni Tirtha, is a Krishna temple built by the Birla family in 1970.
Day 04 - Somnath - Diu (90km/2Hrs)
In the morning check out Hotel & drive to Diu & Check in Hotel and go
for the sightseeing. Overnight stay at Hotel.
Somnath Temple Old & New :
Somnath Temple, a highly revered temple, is one of the main 12 Shiva
temples in India enshrining the Jyotirlinga. The temple is constructed
in the Chalukya style with a height of about 155 ft.
Diu :
Diu, with its pleasant beaches and generally few tourist crowds, offers
a great change of pace from Gujarat and Goa.
Diu Fort :
The town's central landmark is Diu Fort built by the Portuguese during
the late 1530s. It is perched on cliffs and commands a beautiful view of
the sea.
St. Paul's Church :
This early 17th century church decorated with shell-like motifs is
dedicated to Our Lady of Immaculate Conception.
Diu Museum :
The St. Thomas Church has been converted into a museum containing
antique statues, various stone inscriptions, wooden carvings, Hindu
idols and Jain relics.
Market Lane :
This street near Zampa Gate is lined by striking mansions that belonged
to affluent Portuguese and Indian merchants.
Day 05 - Diu - Sasan Gir (110km/2Hrs)
In the morning check out Hotel & drive to the Sasan Gir & Check in Hotel
and go for the sightseeing. Overnight stay at Hotel.
Sasan Gir Devaliya Park :
The Asiatic Lion is the major attraction for most visitors to Junagadh
and the Devaliya Park/Gir Forest abode. As a result of excessive
hunting, poaching and forest depletion, the lion population was on a
dramatic decline before 1965. Currently the lion population is at about
359.
Day 06 - Sasan Gir - Ahmedabad (385km/7.5Hrs)
Proceed to Ahmedabad. On arrival visit Gandhi Ashram, Akshardham Temple and Adalaj Stepwell. Drop at Railway Station/Airport.
